Diamondbacks Dominate, Sweep Round 1 Thursday, January 21st , 2049 The Arizona (WIN) Diamondbacks have beaten the Los Angeles (WIN) Angels in the Round 1, despite a strong performance from Angels first baseman Dave Hicks. Hicks was given MVP honors for his performance even though his team came out on the losing end of the series. "It's a good news, bad news thing I guess," he said. "Unfortunately the bad news is really bad -- our season is over." Arizona (WIN) won the final game by a score of 6-4 at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick and took the series 2-0. The Divisional Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
