WL's Star Player Named Monday, August 29th , 2050 Dave Barboza finds himself in the Western League spotlight today after his impossible-to-ignore performance last week. He carried the Tijuana Toros on his shoulders, earning Western League Player of the Week honors. The 20-year-old hit .333 (8-for-24) with 5 home runs and 8 RBI. This year Barboza is hitting .233 with 23 home runs and 48 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .313 clip and scored 47 runs. |
