Garcia Hurls No-Hitter Friday, September 9th , 2050 There was magic on the mound today at Flames Stadium as Calgary Flames starter Vicente Garcia no-hit the Tijuana Toros. Garcia held Tijuana hitters spellbound and helpless in a masterful display of pitching, leading the Flames to a 3-0 win. "It was like I was in a dream," Garcia said afterward. "The ball just went right where I wanted it to." In his mound masterpiece, Garcia rang up 16 strikeouts and issued no walks. So far this year Garcia has 6 wins and 6 losses and a 2.26 ERA. |
