Casey Whiffs 16, Roswell Tops Palm Beach Monday, September 26th , 2050 Roswell Invaders starter Tony Casey brought his best stuff to Palm Beach Ballpark today against the Palm Beach Nationals, striking out 16 batters in his club's 5-0 victory. In a strong performance, the 26-year-old Casey gave up 1 hit in his 7.1 innings of work and issued 1 walk. "I felt good out there," he said after the game. "My fastball had a lot of life and my fastball was sharp. It was giving hitters fits and working well for me." Running the numbers on Casey for the year, he has made no relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 17-3 won-lost mark with a 1.18 ERA. In pitching 175.1 innings, he has totaled 314 strikeouts and 17 walks. |
