Hits Blitz for Red Wings Gonzales Wednesday, September 28th , 2050 Today at Trois-Riveres Community Center, Detroit Red Wings center fielder Chris Gonzales accomplished a true baseball rarity, knocking a single, double, triple and a home run to hit for the cycle and lead the Red Wings to a 6-4 win over the Trois-Riveres Aigles. In a standout performance, Gonzales laced 5 hits in 6 at-bats and had 1 run batted in. "I felt good before the game, I felt good during it, and I feel great now," Gonzales told reporters. Chris Gonzales tripled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, struck out in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Jose Hinojosa in the 10th. This year Gonzales has 19 home runs and a .264 batting average. |
