Nishi September's Best Bat Choice Saturday, October 1st , 2050 Shohei Nishi let his bat do the talking in September and the Western League heard him loud and clear. He made plenty of noise as he put together a .368 batting average and was named the top hitter of the month. Nishi's month to remember saw him accumulate 25 hits, 10 home runs, 23 RBI, 16 runs, 13 walks and a .463 on-base percentage.
