Detroit Sweeps into the Quarter-Finals Tuesday, October 18th , 2050 With a 4-2 victory at Mike Ilitch Memorial Field, the Detroit Red Wings have completed a sweep of the Paris Cubs in the Round 1. "On to the Quarter-Finals and feeling good," said Joe Strachan. "I don't think our guys expected a sweep, but we'll certainly take it and rest up a bit." For the series, Strachan hit .389 and won series MVP honors. He had 1 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 2 runs.
