Avalanche Move on to Semi-Finals Sunday, October 30th , 2050 The Quarter-Finals may not have lived up to the expectation that it would be a dogfight that would go the distance. The Colorado Avalanche, however, are not complaining. The Avalanche were plenty happy to have wrapped up the series early and to have knocked out the Calgary Flames to advance to the Semi-Finals. Colorado won the final game by a 1-0 count at Denver Stadium and the series 4-1. Avalanche catcher Sean Munns was named series MVP, as he hit .438 with a .474 on-base percentage. He added 2 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 2 runs. "It's not going to be the last time Calgary makes it to the playoffs, so it's sure a nice feeling to put them out this year," Munns said. "We just need to keep this going and take it day by day." The Semi-Finals matchups and schedule will be announced after the Quarter-Finals finishes. |
