Best Player Named by Eastern League

Ben Roth took Pioneer Baseball League by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 22.
For his spectacular campaign, the Winnipeg Goldeyes star has been named the 2050 Eastern League Most Valuable Player Award recipient.
"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the left fielder.
On the season he compiled a .376 batting average to go with a .511 on-base percentage. The native of Brooklyn, New York also added 22 doubles, 3 triples, 68 home runs, 124 RBIs and 119 runs scored.
He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Dan Strickland of the Windy City ThunderBolts finished second in voting, while Andy Knerr of the London Majors finished third.
