2049 WL Pitcher of the Year Award Named Tuesday, November 30th , 2049 Alfredo Villamar of the Americus Braves had a tremendous season and was chosen the Pitcher of the Year Award winner in the Western League. He crafted a standout 17-3 mark in 26 starts, striking out 244, while walking 32. He worked 192.1 innings, yielded 139 hits and posted a 2.06 ERA. Opposing clubs had a .201 average against him. He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Mamadou Morand of the Roswell Invaders finished second in voting, while Ib Skovgaard of the Miami Beach Marlins finished third.
