Season-Ending Injury for Shields
Wednesday, October 19th , 2050
Jason Shields has to call it a season. The University of Georgia Bulldogs reliever learned today that the full extent his injury suffered on 10/17/2050 is worse than hoped. He will not play again this year according to club doctors, who diagnosed the injury as a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament and stated that he would not be able to play for 10-11 months.
The team will likely place Shields on the injured list today.
This season Shields has logged 2 saves. He has thrown 18 innings, dished out 22 strikeouts and walked 2 while putting up a 0-2 mark and a 2.00 ERA.
