Toshio Saiki Wins SL2 Trophy Monday, October 31st , 2050 Toshio Saiki is respected by most University of Minnesota Golden Gophers fans for his no-frills style of play. The 15-year-old second baseman went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Sub League 2 Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .619 average (13-for-21) with no home runs, 6 RBIs and 5 runs scored. For the season Saiki has hit .272 with 2 home runs and 20 RBIs. He has played in 54 games and scored 15 times. |
