25 Games in a Row for Papin
Wednesday, November 9th , 2050
Win or lose, Hervé Papin just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 1 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 25 games.
The Arizona State University Sun Devils shortstop went 1-for-3 today, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated 12-1 by the Hamilton Ross Rams at Mark Light Field at Alex Rodriguez Park.
"It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." Hervé Papin flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th and walked in the 9th.
In 62 games this year Papin has posted a .298 average and put up these numbers: 2 home runs, 20 RBIs and 30 runs scored.
