ORI Star of the Week Named Monday, December 5th , 2050 18-year-old Gary Luckwell sent shock waves through Origination last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Division 1 Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Luckwell made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .500 average, 10 hits in 20 at-bats, 4 home runs and 8 RBI. Where the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers second baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Luckwell certainly made his mark last week. So far this season Luckwell is hitting .352 with 19 home runs, 54 RBIs and 66 runs scored. He has 106 hits in 301 at-bats and a .418 OBP. |
