Okamoto and Magdaleno Suspended, Out 5 Games Thursday, December 22nd , 2050 The shenanigans between the University of Oklahoma Sooners and Coastal Carolina University Chanticleers will leave them a little short-handed for a few games. The Sooners Michio Okamoto and the Chanticleers Pedro Magdaleno were suspended by the league for 5 games following the on-field battle this week at L. Dale Mitchell Baseball Park. This season Okamoto is batting .236 with 72 hits, 8 home runs, 33 RBIs, 32 walks, .335 OBP and has scored 33 runs. He has played in 95 games. So far this season, in 21 relief appearances Magdaleno has compiled an ERA of 4.28. He has pitched 27.1 innings, struck out 25, walked 5 and registered 1 save. |
