Redfern Goes on Rampage Against Royals
|
It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Josh Redfern today. Redfern went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Burlington pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Burlington Athletic Stadium, he had a 5-for-5 line and a day he will long remember. And the Princeton Rays had a 9-0 victory over the Royals.
"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview.
Josh Redfern hit a two-run home run off Steve Ryals in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Steve Ryals in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Kolenka Leschenya in the 5th, singled in the 6th, walked in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Angel Castorena in the 9th.
So far this year Redfern has 4 home runs and a .344 batting average.
