Pastore Booms 4 HR Against Orem
|
Texas (APP) Rangers first baseman Ryan Pastore totally decimated the Orem Owlz today, finishing with 4 home runs in a 13-1 Texas (APP) win.
The Owlz had no answer for Pastore, who finished the day 4-for-5 with 5 RBIs and 4 runs scored.
"What can I say? My guys could've shot the ball out of a rifle and he'd probably hit them out anyway," said Orem skipper Jose Valenzuela. "There's nothing you can do when a guy gets in that kind of zone, you just hope he cools down some before you have to face him again."
When asked about his record performance, Pastore responded, "After the first two I just tried to do everything the same way and it worked."
Ryan Pastore hit a solo-shot off Luis Cabrera in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Luis Cabrera in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Owen Prouty in the 5th, struck out in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Simon Vogel in the 8th.
Currently Pastore is batting .436 with 32 home runs and 71 RBIs.
