The Boston (APP) Red Sox eked out a 2-1 win versus the Cleveland (APP) Indians at Cleveland Indians Complex. Nobody did more than pitcher Kevin Bonkowski, who captured player of the game honors. Boston (APP) occupies last place in the American League East at 25-118.
Julio Lazo contributed to the Red Sox cause with a productive at-bat in the top of the sixth inning. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-run triple, giving Boston (APP) the lead.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Bonkowski.
