Brian Rich was untouchable today at Academia de Prospecto Complex, displaying a good fastball and wicked breaking balls in his 23-0 win against the Miami (APP) Marlins. The Helena hurler did not allow a single hit, fanning 18 while walking 5.

"This is great," Rich told reporters after the game. "Every pitcher wants a no-hitter. I just wanted the win, but the no-hitter is a little extra icing on the victory cake."

So far this season Rich has picked up no saves in no relief appearances. He has also compiled a 3-0 won-lost mark with a 2.67 ERA and fanned 45 batters in 30.1 innings.
