Swing! Swang! Swung! Rizzuto Smashes 3 HR Friday, September 30th , 2044 At Ogren Park at Allegiance Field today, Dillon Rizzuto hit homer after homer after homer. But they didn't add up to enough to beat the San Diego (APP) Padres as the Missoula Osprey went down to defeat, 23-10. "It was a good game for me, not so good for our team," the Missoula first baseman said. "I got lucky. I made some good swings on some pitches. We just didn't put up one in the win column." On his monumental day, he had 3 hits in 3 at-bats, drove in 5 runs, and scored 3 times. "The third one was totally unexpected," Rizzuto told reporters after his extraordinary game. "I just wanted to make good contact, never thinking I would get another home run and bang, I got number three." Dillon Rizzuto hit a three-run home run off Nick Goodlow in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Nick Goodlow in the 3rd and hit a solo-shot off Nick Goodlow in the 5th. So far this season Rizzuto has 27 home runs and a .407 batting average. |
