Cuellar Slams 5 Hits for San Diego (APP) Saturday, October 15th , 2044 5 times is the charm -- at least for Carlos Cuellar. The San Diego (APP) Padres left fielder tore up the Miami (APP) Marlins to the tune of 5 hits in 7 at-bats at Academia de Prospecto Complex today. The offensive onslaught from Cuellar powered the Padres to a 30-4 win. "Cuellar was a tough out today," Miami (APP) manager Ryan Butler said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Carlos Cuellar hit an RBI single in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, walked in a run in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. Cuellar is hitting .394 this year with 18 home runs and 114 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .465, 54 walks and scored 122 times. |
