Saturday, October 15th , 2044
In a career performance, Seattle (APP) Mariners catcher Chris Olheiser sparkled with the bat today at Pioneer Park.
Powering his way to a 6-for-6 line at the plate, Olheiser led the Mariners to a 29-1 win over the Greeneville Astros. Olheiser was in high spirits in the clubhouse after the game, joking with reporters that the big game had left him "winded."
"Oh sure, 6 hits sounds great but think about how much more baserunning you have to do," he said with a smile. "Next time, I'm just going to take 6 walks."
Chris Olheiser singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off James Browning in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th and doubled in the 7th.
Olheiser is batting .339 this season in 100 games with 11 home runs, 73 RBIs and 75 runs scored. He has 131 hits in 386 at-bats.
