Jones's Hit Streak Soars to 25 Games

Josh Jones, second baseman for the Kingsport Mets, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games with 5 hits in his club's 9-5 victory today over the Johnson City Cardinals at Hunter Wright Stadium today.
"Not the outcome we wanted," Johnson City manager Julio Rivero said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Josh Jones doubled in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, tripled in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.
For the year Jones is batting .374 with 237 hits and 5 home runs. He has scored 149 times and driven in 125.
