October's Pitcher of the Month Goes to Spurrell Tuesday, November 1st , 2044 The Pitcher of the Month Award in October has been selected and the National League honor went to Danville hurler, Matthew Spurrell. For his excellent performance he has been named the league's top pitcher. During the month, Spurrell was superb with a 1.22 ERA and 5 wins and no losses. In 37 innings he struck out 44 and gave up 18 hits and 8 walks. So far this season Spurrell has 15 wins and no losses and a 2.69 ERA. |
