Great Day for Williams -- 5 Hits Thursday, November 17th , 2044 It was a high-five day for Mike Williams, at least for a while. The Helena center fielder got plenty of them from his teammates when he reached the five-hit milestone during today's game against the Washington (APP) Nationals, but they were in short supply at the end, as Washington (APP) took a 9-5 win. Williams finished with an impressive 5-for-5 line, but the Brewers couldn't hold off the Nationals. "Mike was hitting everything," said Brewers manager Andy Webster. "It's too bad the other guys couldn't rise to the occasion." Mike Williams doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. This year Williams is batting .380 with 218 hits, 57 home runs, 220 RBIs, 42 walks, .430 OBP and has scored 177 runs. |
