At the age of 21, Kevin Turner says he still has a lot to learn about life in Appalachian League.

But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Johnson City Cardinals reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2044 National League Reliever of the Year.

"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the Loganville, Georgia native said.

For the season, Turner had 8 saves in 51 relief appearances, which totaled 64.2. He fanned 74 betters, while walking 19 and put up a record of 5-1 to go with his 2.64 ERA.

He received 27 first place votes out of a possible 30. Jose Santos of the Danville Braves finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Eric Busby of the San Diego (APP) Padres finished third.
