DIV II Player of the Week Selected Monday, September 26th , 2044 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Division 2, but last week Steve DeRienzo of the Washington State University Cougars reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. DeRienzo rocked opposing pitching for a .455 average (10-for-22), no home runs and 4 RBIs to come away with the award. Thus far in 2044 DeRienzo is hitting .284 with no home runs, 9 RBIs, 17 runs scored and has compiled a .339 OBP. |
