DIV II Awards Player of the Week

It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Division 2, but last week Javon Mitchell of the University of California Golden Bears reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Mitchell rocked opposing pitching for a .350 average (7-for-20), 3 home runs and 6 RBIs to come away with the award.
So far this season Mitchell has hit .186 with 9 home runs, 34 RBIs and scored 42 times.
