Mulogo Torches Cardinal for 5 Hits Thursday, October 13th , 2044 All game long, Fresno State University's Wali Mulogo was rattling the walls at Pete Beiden Field and banging out base hits against the Stanford University Cardinal. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Bulldogs had a 11-5 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 17-year-old first baseman said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Wali Mulogo hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Manny de la Cruz in the 6th and singled in the 7th. So far this season Mulogo is batting .228 with 10 home runs, 20 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has 34 hits in 149 at-bats, 17 walks and a .311 OBP. Mulogo has played in 45 games. |
