Division 2 Picks Top Player Monday, October 24th , 2044 So far in his young career, Omar Amaya has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Division 2 in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 17-year-old University of California Golden Bears center fielder hit at a torrid .381 clip as he collected 8 hits in 21 at-bats, 1 home run, 6 RBIs and 5 runs scored. Amaya is hitting .250 so far this season with 10 RBIs and 8 runs scored. He has 14 hits including 3 home runs, 1 walk and .259 OBP. |
