Buckeyes Pitching Ravaged by Cordle
Saturday, October 29th , 2044
After a 5-hit effort to lead University of Michigan's 20-7 victory over the Ohio State University Buckeyes, first baseman Tim Cordle told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day."
"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the Evolution-level is really something special."
The 18-year-old player earned his accolades today at Bill Davis Stadium with a spectacular 5-for-6 game against the Buckeyes.
"His swing is getting there," said Wolverines skipper Jeff Jones Jr., who spoke glowingly of Cordle after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Tim did that to perfection today."
Tim Cordle hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Roger Whitaker in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
In 2044 Cordle has hit at a .306 clip with 67 hits, 7 home runs, 33 RBIs and has scored 32 times.
