Teniente Selected Player of the Week Monday, November 14th , 2044 17-year-old Carlos Teniente made a few University of Arizona headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Dvision 1 officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 14 hits in 23 at-bats to put up a .609 average. Teniente collected 4 home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 6 runs. Looking at his present stats, Teniente has compiled a .282 batting average in 68 games with a .375 on-base percentage, while hitting 16 home runs and driving in 46 runs. |
