Fresno State University first baseman Mike Roberts thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Fresno State University to a 11-3 win over Stanford University. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Roberts said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Roberts was 3-for-5 on the day with 7 runs batted in. Mike Roberts grounded out in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off Cesar Jimenez in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Jason Barr in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Manny de la Cruz in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. For the year Roberts is batting .230 with 52 hits and 15 home runs. He has scored 31 times and driven in 30. |
