Player of the Week: University of Toronto's Walton Monday, December 5th , 2044 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Dvision 1, but last week Jonathon Walton of the University of Toronto Marlies reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Walton rocked opposing pitching for a .500 average (12-for-24), 1 home run and 6 RBIs to come away with the award. Walton is hitting at a .356 mark this season. His stats show 22 home runs, 77 RBIs and 57 runs scored. He has played 90 games for the Marlies. |
