Yerzy Tags Cougars for 5 Hits Friday, December 9th , 2044 Thanks to Ricky Yerzy and his big bat, the Wolverines derailed the Washington State University Cougars 10-1 today at Ray Fisher Stadium. The University of Michigan starting pitcher had a standout game with 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Ricky Yerzy hit a two-run home run off Danny Clarke in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Danny Clarke in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit a two-run double in the 8th. To date this season Yerzy sports a 7-2 mark with a 3.83 ERA in 14 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .214 batting average and has 64 strikeouts in 91.2 innings. |
