Bisons Contreras No-Hits Bees
|
It was a fantastic day for Buffalo Bisons starter Angel Contreras and a lousy day for the Salt Lake Bees.
The Buffalo hurler's pitching artistry completely befuddled and bewildered the Bees, as the Bisons cruised to a 4-0 win. When it was all over, Contreras was credited with one of the rarer feats in baseball -- a no-hitter.
"The ball was moving and darting, and best of all, going where I wanted it to go," Contreras said later.
He rang up 6 strikeouts and allowed 1 walk while shutting Salt Lake down at Smith's Ballpark.
In 19 starts this year Contreras has fashioned a 12-4 record and a 2.29 ERA.
