Biscuits Hsu Strikes out 16 Hooks
Cheng-ho Hsu of the Montgomery Biscuits put on a pitching clinic today at Whataburger Field as he struck out 16 Corpus Christi Hooks in a 7-0 victory. Hsu, who leads the AL in innings pitched with 84.1, was simply magnificent as he held the Hooks to 3 hits. He walked 0.

"I felt okay at the beginning," Hsu said, "but eventually my forkball really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game."

When asked about Hsu's performance, Biscuits manager Juan Roman shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating."

Presently Hsu has a 7-1 mark in 12 starts with a 1.71 ERA. He has given up 56 hits in 84.1 innings, struck out 122 and issued 12 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .184 batting average against him.
