In a seemingly effortless performance, Dave Navarro of the Montgomery Biscuits shot down the Akron RubberDucks 9-0 on a 2-hit shutout.

"Dave was just locating so well and using his pitches," Montgomery manager Juan Roman said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate."

Navarro recorded 7 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing.

"When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Akron manager Alex Vargas said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."

This year Navarro has a 5-4 record and a 3.42 ERA.
