Espinal Gets No-Hitter Against Northwest Arkansas
In a dominant outing, Edwin Espinal of the Trenton Thunder totally silenced the bats of the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, finishing with a no-hitter.

In the Thunder' 31-0 victory, Espinal faced only 28 batters, surrendered no hits, had 16 strikeouts and 2 walks.

"Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Trenton manager Taylor Guerrieri said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any."

Commenting on the defeat, losing manager Zac Rosscup had a "pretty simple" analysis of the game.

"The Thunder had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Espinal pitched a heck of a ballgame."

This year Espinal has compiled a 6-7 mark with a 4.64 ERA in 17 starts.
