5-Hit Game for Hernandez
|
No matter what the Northwest Arkansas Naturals threw at him today, Francisco Hernandez hit it. He easily handled Naturals pitching, going 5 for 7 and helping the Fisher Cats to a 28-2 triumph at Arvest Ballpark.
"The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.
Told of Hernandez's quip, Naturals skipper Zac Rosscup said he "would take him up on that next time."
Francisco Hernandez struck out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Vinny Reveles in the 4th, walked in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Josh Gordon in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off Allen Crenshaw in the 8th, singled in the 9th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Allen Crenshaw in the 9th.
This season Hernandez is batting .266 with 51 hits, 10 home runs, 48 RBIs, .384 OBP and has scored 47 runs.
