League Takes Action, Montoya Suspended Monday, June 19th , 2045 As a result of his tirade and temper tantrum during yesterday's Chiefs-Aces game at Aces Ballpark, Syracuse second baseman Rene Montoya will get some time off. He was issued a 3-game suspension by the league commissioner. Montoya was suspended for verbally abusing and physically bumping the home plate umpire after being ejected for arguing over a third strike. This year Montoya is hitting at a .232 pace with 5 home runs and 27 RBIs. He has played in 45 games and scored 19 times. |
