Oxenrider Smacks 5 Hits for Sounds Tuesday, August 22nd , 2045 5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Nashville's Alan Oxenrider made it happen today against the RailRiders. Everything came together at the plate for the 31-year-old first baseman as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and led the Sounds to a 13-4 win at Herschel Greer Stadium. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Oxenrider said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Alan Oxenrider singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Joel Pacheco in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. For the season Oxenrider has hit .283 with 10 home runs and 55 RBIs. He has played in 65 games and scored 39 times. |
