Beggs Crafts 4-0 Shutout Thursday, August 24th , 2045 In an outstanding mound performance, Durham Bulls starter Joel Beggs fired a complete-game shutout against the Pawtucket Red Sox at Durham Bulls Athletic Park today. Beggs was the key to the Bulls's 4-0 win. The 30-year-old right-hander was in high spirits on the mount for much of the game, his mood largely undented by the 3 hits and no walks he allowed. "3 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter as long as it was a shutout." In 1 relief appearance this season, Beggs has no saves. He has 5 wins and 1 loss, 1.75 ERA and 44 strikeouts in 46.1 innings. |
