Sullins Twirls 7-0 Shutout
Saturday, August 26th , 2045
Justin Sullins was in a mood to talk following the Gwinnett Braves contest against the Syracuse Chiefs, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Chiefs, 7-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Sullins said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The left-hander blanked Syracuse on a 2-hitter, allowing 3 walks and racking up 12 strikeouts.
To date this year, he has registered no saves, 14 wins and 5 losses with a 2.58 ERA. Sullins has made no relief appearances, worked a total of 164 innings and surrendered 150 hits. He has fanned 147, issued 45 free passes and held opposing clubs to a .242 batting average.
