Reliever Whiteman Chosen August's Best in AL Friday, September 1st , 2045 The spotlight today is on Walter Whiteman of the Omaha Storm Chasers. The bullpen ace was named the top pitcher in the American League for August. Omaha's star reliever held the opposition to a .241 average and put up no saves and 24 strikeouts in 38.1 innings with a 6-0 mark and a 2.11 ERA. This year Whiteman has no saves, totaled 164 innings, allowed 159 base hits and fashioned a 4.23 ERA while racking up 102 strikeouts and a record of 10 wins and 7 losses. |
