Playoffs? No Chance for Norfolk Saturday, September 2nd , 2045 Ryan Kotter said it's going to be "an awfully long offseason" for the Norfolk Tides after they missed the International League playoffs. The club came close, but ultimately ran out of games to secure a postseason spot and were eliminated from contention today. The Tides have missed the playoffs 19 times in their 30 years as a International League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 4th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2041. In the last 10 seasons, the Tides have missed the playoffs 5 times. |
