Nashville Takes Wildcard Series in Deciding Game Monday, October 2nd , 2045 It went the distance, but the Nashville Sounds finally disposed of the Durham Bulls 3-2 in the series clincher at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Winning the finale gave the Sounds the series, 2-1. They will now advance to the Division Championship. The Most Valuable Player Award went to Nashville first baseman Dusty Thompson. He batted .583 in the series, collecting 5 RBIs and scoring 2 runs. "Dusty deserves it," said Sounds manager Brad Boxberger. "He was the glue that held our club together." The Division Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Series finishes. |
