Memphis Win Division Championship Wednesday, October 11th , 2045 The fans in Memphis are celebrating the Redbirds victory over the El Paso Chihuahuas in the Division Championship. They defeated the El Paso Chihuahuas 5-4 in the finale played at Southwest University park to capture the series 4-2. Terry Baginski was chosen the series' Most Valuable Player. The Redbirds catcher batted .348, drove in 3 runs and scored 3 runs in the series. "The Chihuahuas are a good club and I don't mean any disrespect to their pitching staff, but things just felt easy this series," Baginski said. "Everything at the plate seemed right." The Conference Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the Division Championship finishes. |
