Haugen Says Goodbye in El Paso
Friday, October 20th , 2045
The El Paso Chihuahuas will have to find a new first baseman next year as veteran Chris Haugen is set to retire at the end of the 2045 campaign.
Haugen, age 40, is ready for retirement. "Time takes its toll on this old body. I can't do it as well as I want anymore. It's time to hang up the spikes and make way for a younger guy."
Haugen has a lifetime .299 average and .368 on-base percentage in his career with 972 hits, 149 doubles, 18 triples, 141 home runs, 514 RBIs and 571 runs scored.
