NL Star of the Week Picked Monday, July 3rd , 2045 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the National League, but last week Scott Schwartz of the San Antonio Missions reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Schwartz rocked opposing pitching for a .417 average (10-for-24), 2 home runs and 8 RBIs to come away with the award. Schwartz is hitting .262 for the season with 7 home runs, 34 RBIs and 33 runs scored. He has 60 hits in 229 at-bats and played in 67 games. |
